Do the Right Thing Awards

Every employee at the University of Colorado is valuable and plays an important role in helping the University fulfill its fiscal roles and responsibilities.  The University has set forth its expectations regarding fiscal roles and responsibilities in the Administrative Policy Statement Fiscal Roles and Responsibilities.  Further, it has set forth the expected conduct in the Administrative Policy Statement Fiscal Code of Ethics. The Employee Recognition Program for Fiscal Roles and Responsibilities is a new employee recognition program - focused on the fiscal activities of the University and its employees that are involved in those activities. Do the Right Thing Spot Award Given at the discretion of the University and Campus Controllers to reward meritorious behavior, notable accomplishments or special achievements related to fiscal roles and responsibilities that are typically not recurring, and may be given as they occur or on the spot.   Spot Awards recipients receive rewards up to $25 in value. Do the Right Thing Quarterly Award Recognizes and rewards employees and/or teams that exhibit high standards of performance, customer service, skills, teamwork, and/or high standards related to fiscal roles and responsibilities and may be based on innovation, efficiency, or outstanding achievement.   Individuals who are selected will receive rewards up to $100 in value. Teams or work groups that are selected will receive up to $250. More information >

Vice Presidential Fiscal Excellence Award Recognizes excellent results achieved by an individual which required innovation and problem solving; encouraged organizational cooperation; or supported continual improvement - and as a direct result of their endeavors the University will have achieved measurable, tangible, observable, and positive outcomes directly related to the fiscal activities of the University.  The recipient will receive a $1,000 cash award, recognition certificate and plaque.
